Those SIS Ranch Girls

A blog inspired by the lives of a family of deer residing on a Texas deer ranch.

Name:
Location: Texas

A city girl living from Las Vegas to Dallas to Chicago, now lives in the country with my husband and daughter - when she's not away at college. I have always "heard" what the animals have to say, now I have a way to creatively feature their thoughts!

Hey, hey, hey!

Babies, all I'm hearing about are babies. Rosemary, Pepper and I think Anise, with that fabulous mood of hers, is bound to be next.

Well, I thought this was all about how fabulous I am, and how big my antlers are becoming. I am, afterall, the signature buck of this SIS Ranch thing. And, I am the daddy for most of the soon-to-be offspring around here.

Look at this superior growth. This takes work, man. This is something to be in awe of, for sure. A couple of "cute" babies is no big deal. Granted, I think they are interesting to look at, they are so small and rather awkward, but I don't think at the big deer convention this summer they'll be showing many baby pictures. It's going to be all about those big buck racks. Just ask Mr. Human. He knows. "Cute" isn't his style either. We know where the bread and butter of this operation comes from. So, talk about the babies all you want. Come fall, it'll all be about my B&C ranking for the year.

So sorry to hear about your loss. But fortunately these are young and healthy young ladies -- and they have great humans to take care of them!
