Poppy Says Hello

Okay, I have lived a gentle life in East Texas on a wonderful ranch and yet, I never saw talking deer with their own blog! This will be an interesting home I'm sure.

They named me Poppy, a name I actually like very much. I feel like a Poppy, bright and light and pretty. I'm very pretty.

I have moved into The Four Seasons, quite a locale if I say so myself. Lots of fresh, green grass around, lots of trees and at the moment, it seems at least, lots of water. I wonder if it is like this year-round. If so, the humans may need to buy me a quad of water boots! They have 'em. In fact, I spotted a bright red pair yesterday with some sort of animal in white. Pretty chic.

So, I am adjusting, and learning. Didn't know deer could blog; didn't know deer could talk for that matter! I like things around here so far. Now, if I could just get that puffed-up Falstaff to stop asking my sign (whatever that is) I'll be even better.

I dropped my antlers just about 2 months ago and as you can see, I'm already well on my way to making another great statement this year. I hate to tell young master Falstaff, but age is in my favor. I'm just a bigger guy...it's a northern thing my son. In a few years you will have something to show for yourself, but don't start looking to outdo me for 2007!
